Example transaction:

Today 10/21/2011 a leading National Mortgage Company is quoting a conventional $175,000 loan, 30 year fixed rate, 80% loan-to-value, at 4.250% (apr 4.433%) with a 1% origination fee. My wholesale rate is 4.250% (apr 4.173) with a REBATE of 2.18 points. That is a savings of 3.18 points.  On the $175,000 loan amount that is a savings of $5,565.00. This is HUGE!! On a $400,000 loan amount you would save $12,720.  Imagine what you could do with all of that money.
